Eagle Advanced Meter Configuration

Overview

The following information is to assist when establishing "Rules" in the Eagle Advanced Meter Configuration. The same Rule may be found in device setup with Talon Software (Eagle Research).

See Meter Configuration for details.

Enter the Address with correct PPSSII and scaling if available.

Note

The same PPSSII with different scaling in the same advance meter configuration is not supported.

Meter Type

  • If the value of the address is equal to 1 or to 49, this is Orifice meter.
  • If the value of the address is equal to 2 or to 50, this is Positive meter.
  • If none of the above applies, this is a Dummy meter.

Pipe material and Plate material

  • If the value of the address is greater than 0.67 then this is Stainless. 
  • If the value of the address is greater than 0.47 and is less than or equal to 0.67 then this is Carbon. 
  • If none of the above applies, this is a Monel.

Calculation Method

  • If the value of the address is equal to 50, then this is an AGA7. 
  • If the value of the address is not equal to 50 and if the Fpv method value of address and with 0x0800 is equal to 0, then this is AGA3_1985. 
  • If the value of the address is not equal to 50 and if the Fpv method value of address and with 0x0800 is not equal to 0, then this is AGA3_1992.

Live Factor Fa, Fb, Fg, Fr, Y, Fpv, and Ft

  • If the value of the address is greater than 0 and if calculation method value of the address is not equal to 50, then this is a Yes.
  • If not, this is a No.

Fpv Method

  • If the value of the address anded with 0x0600 is equal to 0, then this is a NX19. 
  • If the value of the address anded with 0x0600 is equal to 0x0200, then this is AGA8_Gross1. 
  • If the value of the address anded with 0x0600 is equal to 0x0400, then this is AGA8_Gross2. 
  • If none of the above applies, this is an AGA8_Detail.

Meter Taps

  • If the value of the address is equal to 1 or to 2, then this is a Flange. 
  • If not, this is a Pipe.

Static press taps

  • If the value of the address is equal to 1 or to 3, then this is Upstream. 
  • If not, then this is Downstream.

Static press types

  • If the value of address is equal to 0, then this is Absolute. 
  • If not, this is Gauge.

K Factor

Contract hour

“Contracthour_Address”{SG:0.01,0}

Unit for Static Pressure, Base Pressure, Atmosphere pressure

  • If the value of the address anded with 0x1E is equal to 0, then this is PSI. 
  • If the value of the address anded with 0x1E is equal to 2, then this is Kilopascal.

Unit for Temperature, Base Temperature

  • If the value of the address anded with 0x01 is equal to 0, then this is a F. 
  • If the value of the address anded with 0x01 is equal to 2, then this is a C.

Unit for Heating Value

  • If the value of the address anded with 0x01 is equal to 0, then this is BTU PER FT3. 
  • If the value of the address anded with 0x01 is equal to 2, then this is MJ_PER_M3.
