Timeout Explained

Timeout Explained

A timeout is the number of seconds for the Secondary Port must wait after the last received message on the Priority Port has been sent.

In this example, the Timeout was set to 2 seconds.

  1. At time 0, the Secondary Port is active.

  2. At time 3, the Priority Port became active, and the Secondary Port was denied.

  3. The Priority Port was active for 3 seconds, and at time 6 it stopped.

  4. The Timeout started counting down for the 2 seconds and it ended at time 8.

  5. At time 8, Secondary Port was then allowed to connect.
