Priority Forward
Overview
Priority Forward allows one to prioritize the traffic from one client over another client to an end device.
The typical use case for the application is to use eACM to acquire data from the end device through TCP communications on a specific port. When the user wants to connect to the device to program it via the manufacturer’s software to program or troubleshoot it, that software is pointed to another port and it will take control of the device communications. When one is done, disconnect with the manufacture’s software and normal data acquisition will resume.
In order to accomplish such, one would setup Priority Forward to connect to the device. Edge ACM would be connected to port 40001. The device with the manufacturer’s software would connect to port 40002.
