Compatibility with Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware and general Security Software
While we cannot test against every security software and mechanism available, ACM is generally compatible with modern security applications. We recommend you first test extensively with your applications and environment prior to implementation any security application (or update) in production.
This suggestion would be relevant for security patches, updates, and virus/malware database updates. Thorough testing will help reduce the incidence of negative interactions, such as a false positives. Best practices generally include staging such updates out across systems in your environment to help provide time to identify any issues that may occur - without affecting your entire infrastructure.
We are not aware of any performance issues for ACM servers and clients due to security software scans. We suggest that you review and include file exclusions only if specifically directed to by your Security Application Vendor, or if identified as required in your testing environment.
Exclusions
If you encounter performance delays or issues with file sharing caused by security applications, you may elect to exclude the ACM installation folder and its necessary files from security software scans. These necessary files are configured per installation. This information can be found in the following locations:
