The Advanced Channel Settings are a set of optional configuration items that can be added and shared across multiple Channels.
To add an Advanced Channel Settings object, click the Add Item button.
Select Advanced Channel Settings from the Add Item drop down, and you will see the different Advanced Channel Settings properties. The configuration options are the following:
Property | Description |
---|---|
Name | Here you can set the name of these Advance Channel Settings. Make this something that short but that describes the configuration you are creating. |
Connection Retries | Maximum number of tries to attempt a connection to the End Device. This is shared across both the Priority and Secondary connections. |
Connection Retry Interval (ms) | The amount of time the connection will idle before attempting a connection retry. This is shared across both the Priority and Secondary connections. |
Priority Switch Delay (ms) | The amount of time the Priority connection should wait before attempting to connect to the End Device. This delay will only apply if the Secondary connection has been active within the past X amount of milliseconds. Where X is this this same Priority Switch Delay value. |
Folder | Reference to the Folder that contains these Advance Channel Settings. |
To use these settings in a Channel, open the Channel object and select the newly created Advanced Channel Settings in the Channel’s Advanced Settings drop down.
Save your changes (Ctrl + S) or click the Save button in the top right corner of your screen.
Restart Priority Forward to apply the settings if your Channel was already running.
