Compatibility with Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware and general Security Software
While we cannot test against every security software and mechanism available, ACM is generally compatible with modern security applications. We recommend you first test extensively with your applications and environment prior to implementation any security application (or update) in prod.
This suggestion would be relevant for security patches, updates, and virus/malware database updates. Thorough testing will help reduce the incidence of negative interactions, such as a false positives. Best practices generally include staging such updates out across systems in your environment to help provide time to identify any issues that may occur - without affecting your entire infrastructure.
Exclusions
If you encounter issues, or performance delays which would require temporarily excluding ACM from Security software, the following are the default ACM install directories and sub-folders:
C:\Program Files \AutoSol\Communication Manager
C:\ProgramData\AutoSol
You can confirm your ACM installation System files location via the ACM Monitor > System Files Tab.
We are not aware of any performance issues for ACM servers and clients due to security software scans. We suggest that you review and include file exclusions only if specifically directed to by your Security Application Vendor, or if identified as required in your testing environment.
