All BSAP ControlWave devices use the UDP communication protocol for Ethernet communications.  UDP must be selected rather than TCP for the Connection Type on the Port tab in the ACM connection used to poll the device:ACM .  View the TCP/IP Connection -> Port tab, Connection TypeACM TCP Listen Connection -> Port tab, Connection Typeor TCP Listen section of the user guide for more details.

A UDP Receive Port must be specified rather than letting Windows choose. The UDP Receive Port and must be the same as the IBP Port configured in the BSAP device. ( This port number should also be used as the TCP/IP connection's main port number. ) ControlWaves ControlWave devices default to using UDP port 1234, and it's very uncommon for this default to be changed.

The General and Options tabs of the UDP BSAP connection are the same as the TCP/IP connection. The Port tab has two fields that are the same as the TCP/IP Connection: UDP Receive Port and Lost Connection Timeout. It also has one new field: Max Concurrent Polls.  View the UDP BSAP Connection section for more information.

The UDP BSAP connection works by sending out multiple polls without waiting for responses. Max Concurrent Polls is the maximum number of these polls that it will send at once. If there are more polls ready to send, they'll be held back until one of the outstanding polls gets a response.
