This is an optional descriptive text area to add additional information.
This will prevent items from being combined in a command message if multiple items are written in quick succession. Items will be written to the device one at a time. This may not pertain to all device types, as some only support writing to a single item at a time.
This initializes the item to value of 0 with a good quality instead of no value. This will make it appear to OPC clients (HMIs, etc) that the item has a value of zero.
Initializing the item data to zero can cause inadvertent alarms. |
Default = Selected. When communication is lost, all advised data points associated with a device will receive a quality indicator of stale or not reliable.
When this option is turned on, the item will be polled as soon as the client activates the item. Subsequent polls will occur when interval and schedule is due.
It is possible for polling to occur when items are added even when this option is disabled. The OPC specification allows for a client application (such as an HMI) to request that the OPC server update one or more items' values from the field device. If an OPC client makes this request, ACM will perform a demand poll to retrieve item values. An OPC client may do the following:
This sequence is indistinguishable from the sequence triggered by the 'Poll items immediately when activated' option. |
ACM will initiate a re-poll for the written item to verify that the write was successful.
ACM will initiate a re-poll for all active items while verifying that the write was successful. Requires the option 'Verify writes' in order to build the message.
