Supported Devices

The Hex Repeater protocol module is designed to allow a host computer to communicate with devices that use the Hex Repeater protocol (AI-700s, BBI-3340s, and ControlWave Micro). Other devices that use the same protocol, or use protocol emulators, can also be supported.

Supported Features

  • The Hex Repeater protocol module supports reading and writing of all valid data items. 
  • Command code definitions, including the type of command and number of instances available. 
  • Item definitions, including the data type, data location, data length, validity flag, and action trigger. 
  • Action sequences, including the type of action and the list of command/instance pairs in the sequence.

Further Information

The RTU firmware version will determine the supported applications and the hex repeater communication interface used to read and write data. For further information regarding the devices using the Hex Repeater protocol, please refer to the vendor specific hex repeater communication manual documents.
