Getting Started

In order to configure remote Edge applications, you will need to share an MQTT broker.

Right click $Server and select properties.

Select Broker 1 and enter your broker settings.

For more information about the additional settings visit MQTT TLS

Save your changes using the disk icon then right click $Server and Restart the MQTT Client. The Connection Status in the top right corner should now be green.

You may now right click $Server and issue a Discover Nodes command; this will reveal all Edge Nodes currently connected to the active Broker.

When you first gain access to an Edge Node, you will have to manually request its configuration information. To do this, right click the node and use Sync.

Give this command a few minutes to run. If no changes appear, manually Refresh Tree. You should now be able to expand all of the apps on your edge node.

From there you will be able to review and change any of the apps as you would on the device itself.

If you wish to monitor the configuration data being sent, a client such as mqtt.fx can be connected to the same broker.
