The Node item object in the Tree View is used to group all configuration items in an application. It is also used to connect the Edge device to the Autosol App Manager. Right-click and select Properties to configure it.toc

Name

This name for the Edge device.

Info

The name must be unique as it is used to identify the device in the Tree View of the Edge Manager and AUTOSOL App Manager.

Compress MQTT Payload

When enabled, configuration data sent over MQTT will be compressed; otherwise it will be sent in plain text.

Note

It is advised to keep this enabled unless troubleshooting.

MQTT

Use this form to establish the Broker Connection used by the AUTOSOL App Manager. These settings are not used to publish data from Edge ACM, only to remotely configure the system.

Connection Retries

The number of attempts to reconnect to the current broker. To attempt to reconnect to the first broker on the list indefinitely, enter -1.

Connection Retry Interval (ms)

The amount of time to wait between retries of your broker connection. Entered in milliseconds.

Brokers

The list of brokers that have been added to the system. Use the + button to a broker to the list.

Enable Broker

Determines whether or not the node will attempt to communicate with the broker.

Info

If the Connection Retries are set to -1 the node will only ever attempt to communicate with the first enabled broker.

Broker IP

The IP address of the MQTT broker

Broker Port

The port of the MQTT broker, default 1883

Keep Alive

The maximum time between messages to the MQTT broker. If the broker does not hear from the node within that time period, a node Death will be published.

Delete

Click the trash can icon to delete the broker entry.
