Database Compactor
ACM Database Compactor is a utility used to keep the ACM Configuration Database tblProperties as compact as possible by cleaning out default property settings. The removal of unnecessary default properties will increase the speed at which ACM will load.
To open Database Compactor:
- Click Start > Programs > AutoSol Communication Manager > Database Compactor to open the Database Compactor utility.
- Enter the appropriate ACM Server name.
- Click Clean Up to run the utility.
- The status indicator will change to Complete when done.
Database Provider String Builder
ACM Database Provider String Builder is a utility which builds a database provider string.

The provider string can now be copied from the Windows clipboard and used where required.
Exporting and Importing Configurations
Deprecated Properties
Occasionally when ACM starts up after an upgrade, it will display errors such as "Failed to set property PropertyName with value 'X'". This indicates that the property has been deprecated and is no longer used. Deprecated properties can remain without causing issues. If desired, they can be removed to prevent the error notification(s) using the following steps:
- Open ACM.
- Verify that ACM is running properly by confirming it is retrieving history as expected, performing time syncs if required or other activities and commands as configured in ACM are executing as expected.
- Close ACM.
- Go to "C:\ProgramData\AutoSol\Communication Manager\7"
- Run the SQL script named "DbCleanup.sql" against the AutoSol database to remove all deprecated properties.
- Open ACM.
