Views

Overview

A View is a customized item list for a group of devices and/or ports shown by the Dashboard to quickly see the status of those items without going to a separate OPC client.

Configuration

See the General Object Configuration guide for assistance configuring the General tab.

View Tab

Alias Group

Click the Edit... button to associate one or multiple alias groups to the view. Each group and item in the assigned Alias Groups will be combined with each object in the "View Objects" list to be displayed on the Dashboard Panel. See the Alias Group guide for more information.

View Objects

Click Edit Collection to configure a custom list of objects to add to the view

Records

Records can be added or removed using the Add, Remove and Copy buttons on the lower left. Each record uses the following fields:

Name Text. Text used to query for object's name. Can include wild card *.
Not Name Text. Text used to exclude objects. Can include wild card *.
Parent Folder. The folder containing objects to include in the view. Child folders are included.
RecordId. Display Name of Record.

When configuration of the records are complete, Close the form and Save the changes.

View Types

The items from the Alias Group can be applied to Devices, Ports or both.
