Weatherford 8500 Commands

Commands are executed from the Command tab of the ACM device configuration.

Test Communication

When executed, ACM will poll a known OPC item from the device and wait for the response to see if the communication is good.

Time Sync

Causes a comparison of the date and time in the device to the host date and time. Once compared, the configured rules of the selected time sync object will be applied - including time zone and daylight saving options.

Read Unit Info

Issue this command if the controller type in the field has changed or the firmware version has been upgraded.

Reset Event Buffer Pointer

Resets position information for the Event archive so that all events cards are retrieved at the next card upload.

Reset Fault Buffer Pointer

Resets position information for the Fault archive so that all faults cards are retrieved at the next card upload.

Reset Present Buffer Pointer

Resets position information for the Present archive so that all live cards are retrieved at the next card upload.

Reset Pump On Buffer Pointer

Resets position information for the Pump On archive so that all pump on cards are retrieved at the next card upload.

Reset Shutdown Buffer Pointer

Resets position information for the Shutdown archive so that all pump off cards are retrieved at the next card upload.

Retrieve Cards

Initiate a card upload poll cycle.

Retrieve Load Scaling

Initiate an upload of load scaling data. Data is published to the database as well as associated OPC item. Internal archive object with TypeName “LoadScaling” is used to publish data to database.
