Common Commands
Overview
The following commands are common to many device protocol types. See Object Commands for how to locate and execute a command.
Commands

Demand Poll | Requests a poll of all advised OPC Items in the device. Note: You must have an item advised in an OPC Client. | None | Commands Tab, Right-Click Menu, Send Multiple Commands |
Dump Item List | Writes all the currently advised items for the device to the logger | None | Commands Tab |
Abort Current Task | Requests the device to abort its current task. | None | Commands Tab |
*Retrieve History | Executes the Retrieve History command. | None | Commands Tab, Right-Click Menu, Send Multiple Commands |
*Delete History for a Device | This command will delete all history for this device and its meters. | None | Right-Click Menu |
*Republish Device Records | Immediately publishes the first 1000 historical records, according to record timestamp, starting at the selected date. Note: If the publisher has a filter assigned, the device and/or it's meters must be included in the filter. | Earliest Record Date | Commands Tab, Right-Click Menu, Send Multiple Commands |
* These commands are only available for devices that retrieve history.
