Allen-Bradley® Protocols

Overview

ACM supports communication with both legacy Allen-Bradley® Ethernet and Serial devices via the DF1 Protocol as well as newer Common Industry Protocol (CIP) based devices using the ControlLogix protocol.

Information

In general, the DF1 protocol should be used unless the device specifically adheres to the Logix5000® series CIP communication standard when using EtherNetIP or CSPv4 when using Allen Bradley Ethernet (Legacy).
