Security: Visible for all users

Header

The first section is the header showing the device name, device type and favorites status. This icon can be toggled to save or un save this device as a favorite for the user. See Favorite Devices for more details on this feature.

Each section below can be expanded or collapsed to save space and does not effect the contents of the section.

Listings can be refreshed to retrieve the latest values by clicking the refresh symbol on the upper right next to the search function. The search function will filter the listing based on the text entered. Click or hit the Enter key to apply a search filter. Clear the entry and click or hit the Enter key to remove a search filter.

Properties

This listing shows the current configuration value for properties selected to be viewed for this device. See Selected Properties for details on configuring what properties are shown here.

Editing Properties

Properties that can be edited are designated by an icon in the edit column of the listing. If the icon is grayed out, then that property is not able to be edited in AMP.

  • Click the icon to load an entry dialog for the data type. Example above.

  • Make the property change.

  • Submit Change to attempt the property change in ACM. The result will be shown in one of two information messages:

Result Message

Notes

The change was attempted in ACM but the current security does not allow this user to make this change to this property. See Security for details on how property change access rights are controlled.

The change was committed successfully to ACM and the value will refresh in the results listing.

  • Close the dialog.

Persisted Items

Any persisted items for this device will show the most recent entries in this listing. Persisted item data updates can be delayed by several minutes after polling, so updated values may not appear right away.

Commands

Commands can be selected from the listing by clicking in the listing box and clicking on a list item. To change the selected command, click in the listing box and change the selected item. The Command Event Log shows event messages sent from ACM. Not all commands send completed messages, so viewing the Log Messages section can provide additional information from ACM if a command was successful or not.

After submitting the request, the button is disabled and a working animation is displayed indicating the ACM server is working on the request. Another one may not be submitted until the current one has completed or timed out.

Log Messages

When the device view page is selected, an ACM Logger Service connection is made and a subscription for the device is activated. When the device view page is closed, the subscription and connection are removed and the log history is cleared. Expanding or collapsing this section does not effect the subscription.

Alias Polling

Alias groups can be selected for a one-time ad-hoc demand poll and the items are shown in the results report when completed. If the request was not able to be performed or had other errors, the results will reflect this. Item quality may show a configuration error if the item was not able to be used in the poll. See the Log Messages section for detailed ACM log messages received during the process.

After submitting the request, the button is disabled and a working animation is displayed indicating the ACM server is working on the request. Another one may not be submitted until the current one has completed or timed out.
