If no items appear in the "Provider" drop down in the ACM Monitor, download and install one of the following providers: MSOLEDBSQL19.1, MSOLEDBSQL.1 or SQLNCLI11 (only suggested for use with SQL Server 2012).

The installers for the providers may prompt for a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio. More information can be found on the Installing Database Providers page

* While ACM supports the SQL Native Client providers SQLNCLI.1 and SQLNCLI10.1, they have reached their End of Life and are no longer available for download.

AUTOSOL is aware of an issue with MSOLEDBSQL 18.6.0 and above due to the Idle Connection Resiliency feature added in that version. When saving configuration changes, you may see an error about too many parameters, errors converting types, or the server being unable to ‘find statement with prepared handle #’. If you encounter these errors, we suggest rolling back to MSOLEDBSQL 18.5.

This will be addressed in 9.1.2, but is available as a hotfix for 8.2 and later.

  1. RAM requirements vary depending on the number of devices and ports in the configuration. As the number of devices, ports, and advised Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) for Process and Control ( OPC ) items increase, the RAM requirements rise.
  2. Logging disk space requirements vary depending on the logging options enabled, and the length of time log files are maintained.
  3. Historical Disk Space is only needed when collecting historical data. Space requirements will vary depending on the size of system, amount of data being collected, logging, and recovery options.
