The Data Viewer enables you to view real-time data from each polling application. It is located in the top menu of the Web Configuration.

Basic Function

The Explorer on the left allows you to scan for active applications by pressing the “Get Data” button. Alternately, the Realtime Data tree node’s right-click menu contains the Get Data item that performs the same as the button.

You may then expand the tree, double click the relevant device, and see a snapshot of current data:.

Data is always sampled at the time Get Data is pressed. To update the displayed data, press the button again. The “Last Update” time shows when Get Data last executed according to the app driver.

Demand Scan

The demand scan button is located on the left side of the toolbar and is visible for a single device view when the Demand tag is present in the device tag listing. Alternatively, the Demand can be requested from the device node’s right-click menu in the Explorer tree when the Demand tag is present in the device tag listing.

Once the button is clicked, a Demand poll request is sent to the device. If the request was successfully submitted, a message will appear as shown below:

If the request could not be successfully submitted, a message will appear in red indicating failure.

Request success does not indicate that polling was a success, only that the request made it to the service that forwards the request on to the device. The device log should be used to determine if the demand poll took place and was successful or not.

Data can be sorted by any column, click the arrows on the right side of the column:
